    Beware of risks posed by unofficial ETIAS websites

    The rules of visa-free travel to Europe will change in the first half of 2025. With the introduction of ETIAS, the European Travel Information and Authorisation System, visa-free travellers will have to apply for travel authorisation before starting their journey to any of the 30 European countries involved in the scheme.     Guidelines for European Common Minimum Standards for Border Surveillance

    Frontex is pleased to share the Guidelines for Common Minimum Standards for Border Surveillance, that were developed in support to the Member States. Based on the national practices, they outline a set of common minimum denominators for the adequate, effective, and timely performance of border surveillance at the EU’s external borders to maintain the necessary capacity and readiness against various short-term and long-term risks.
