The Management Board has adopted conclusions concerning the serious incident mechanism in relation to fundamental rights. They constitute a set of recommendations that were adopted to reinforce the aspect of fundamental rights in the mechanism. Effective and independent investigations at national level are essential components, in addition or in follow up to serious incident investigations under the European Border and Coast Guard Regulation.
