On 16 July, Frontex, the European Border and Coast Guard Agency, will hold an Industry Day on Copernicus-based Digital Twin Solutions. The participants will have an opportunity to present their work related to Copernicus-based solutions for the provision of a digital twin enabling the reproduction of real-life situations and processes to explore different scenarios.
In conjunction with the Copernicus Border Surveillance Service, that Frontex is entrusted by the European Commission to deliver to European Border and Coast Guard community, the Agency is aiming to support the evolution of its products.
In this context, Frontex is particularly interested in the following solutions:
- Digital twin to enable the simulation of real-life situations and processes in order to explore different scenarios with a view to provide recommendations for decision-making purposes;
- Innovative methods and technologies to explore and integrate new and enlarged data sets for Earth Observation products;
- New Earth Observation data processing paradigms, such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, cloud computing for automation.
