National authorities

The Hungarian Police's Aliens Division is an armed law enforcement agency of the State. The Minister responsible for law enforcement is charged with the management of the national police. The police structure includes the central unit, the county (metropolitan) police headquarters, police stations and border policing stations. The Police execute their tasks in service branches (e.g. criminal investigations), services (e.g. anti-terror services), and special services (e.g. financial crimes). The Police of the Republic of Hungary is tasked with the protection of public order and public security, the protection of the state border, control of border traffic and maintenance of order at the state border.
