The project BAG-INTEL is
developing robust AI-based information utilization and decision-making support
tools to support border and customs authorities in carrying out baggage
controls in airports.
The solution addresses use cases which will be tested
in 3 European airports and will consist of: a new AI powered functionality for
enhanced detection of contraband in x-ray scanning of luggage, AI camera based
end-to-end reidentification of luggage, and digital twin for system
visualisation and performance optimization for the operational context of an
airport.
